Thank you Ward 1!

Neighbors -

I wanted to write and thank everyone for trusting me to represent our Ward on the council. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity and to everyone that engaged in local elections this year.

In particular I want to express deep gratitude for my opponent in this race for running an issues oriented campaign.

While I am excited to get started in this, I am sad that it will preclude me from running for reelection to our Ward 1 NPA Steering Committee. Thank you to Carol, Jonathan, Sam, and Tom for their continued work.

Please consider joining this wonderful crew as a steering committee member and help keep our NPA stay vibrant and grow. If you would like to join the steering committee, be sure to attend our next meeting on March 13th, and reach out to current members ...

... with questions about the role.

I promised my partner some much needed focus on our house and family before I am sworn in in April, so apologies if I am at all slow to respond. That being said, I will do my best to make myself available over the coming weeks. If you'd like to be in touch, I can be reached best at carterforburlington@gmail.com. Regardless of how you voted, I'd like to hear from you, and hope you feel empowered to and comfortable reaching out.

In addition, I am planning to meet with as many current, outgoing, and incoming city councilors, city staff, and community leaders as I can to make sure I am hitting the ground running in April.

Finally I want to give a big thanks and hope you all will join me in celebrating the work of our out-going City Councilor, Zoraya Hightower. She is leaving big shoes to fill and I hope I can live up to the expectations she has set in the role.

With Gratitude,
Carter Neubieser, Ward 1 City Councilor-elect
